A historical variety found in their estate-owned vineyards, near the new cellar.
The oldest vines date back to the 1930s. The submerged cap maceration method is used and lasts about 60-70 days. The wine then ages for about five years in neutral wood and concrete vats.
VINTAGE 2019
Vinous – 92
The 2019 Barbera d’Alba is a wine of exquisite finesse. Deep and pliant yet not at all heavy, it exudes balance. Crushed flowers, mint, blood orange, raspberry and sweet spice all meld together. Although 2019 does not have the power of some previous years, it more than makes up for that with its polished, utterly sensual personality.
